A Life of Love and Dedication
Natasha Mae Fester Obituary, affectionately known as “Tasha,” passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at her home in Grove City. Originally from Willmar, Tasha was only 33 years old. Her life was marked by devotion to her family, career, and community. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 18, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Visitation occurred from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
Early Life and Education
Born on September 13, 1990, in Willmar, MN, Tasha was the beloved daughter of Jeff and Lisa (Chase) Adkins. She was baptized at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Chokio and later confirmed her faith at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Growing up in Willmar, Tasha graduated from Willmar High School in 2009, where she actively participated in the Cardettes Dance Team, volleyball, track, and the F.F.A. Known for her outgoing nature, Tasha made numerous friends throughout her school years.
Pursuit of Nursing
After high school, Tasha pursued a career in nursing, attending Ridgewater College for her L.P.N. degree, Rasmussen College in St. Cloud for her R.N., and Mankato State for her B.S.N. Degree. Her dedication to healthcare led her to become the administrator of C.A.R.E. Furthering her education, Tasha earned her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of North Dakota in August 2023. She began her role as a P.M.H.N.P. at CentraCare Rice Memorial Hospital in November 2023, where she found immense fulfilment in caring for others.
Family Life
On July 7, 2012, Tasha married Matthew Fester at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. They initially lived in Atwater for nine years before moving to Grove City in 2019. Their union was blessed with four wonderful children: Mason (12), Marshel (8), Maxton (5), and McKinley (3). Tasha was deeply involved in her children’s lives, always their loudest cheerleader in all sporting activities and go-kart racing. She cherished spending time with her family and was known for giving the best hugs.
Interests and Hobbies
Tasha had a variety of interests and hobbies. She loved demo derbies, stock car racing, and DIY projects, always having a Pinterest project in progress. She shared a special bond with her father, who affectionately nicknamed her “Harold,” a testament to their close relationship.
Survived By
Tasha is survived by her loving husband, Matthew, and their children, Mason, Marshel, Maxton, and MaKinlee, all of Grove City. She also leaves behind her parents, Jeff and Lisa Adkins of Atwater; her brother, Trenton (Jen) Adkins, and their children, Quinn and Leighton; father-in-law, Marion Fester of Belgrade; mother-in-law, Jori Berzins of Spring Park; sisters-in-law: Stacy (Nick) Danielson and their children, Gavin, Loretta, and Bode; and Abby (Andrew) Christensen and their children, Aiden, Ashton, and Ayla. Additionally, Tasha is survived by her grandparents, Rosey Ehrp and James (Kathy) Adkins, and her special friend, Ali Hood.
Preceded in Death
Tasha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Lorraine Chase and Norm Hamner, and stepmother-in-law, Cindy Fester.
A Final Farewell
Natasha Mae Fester will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her compassion, dedication, and love left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community.
